Join us!

We have funding from NIH and HFSP to cover multiple positions in the group, including PhD students and postdocs. We are looking for creative individuals with a passion for research at the interface of Physics and Biology, or in Quantitative Biology, and who are excited to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment.

We highly value diversity of gender, ethnicity, cultural, and social background, as we believe that a multitude of perspectives is key to an enriching research environment. Andrea is committed to assisting every group member in identifying projects suitable for external fellowships and other awards, and works together with them to prepare proposals.

Postdocs: Postdoctoral researchers in our group can benefit from fellowship opportunities through NIH diversity supplements, further supporting our dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive research community. Andrea is happy to help you identify fellowship opportunities and will help you draft a proposal and develop your ideas. At this moment, funding is available regardless of fellowship application outcomes. See the ad here: Postdoc Position in Physics of Evolving Living Matter

Graduate students: Andrea is part of the Civil & Environmental Engineering, Biological & Environmental Engineering and Microbiology graduate fields at Cornell. Admissions to different fields happen at different times, typically starting in early December. Reach out to Andrea as early as possible to ensure that your application is received in time. International students are encouraged to apply for Fulbright fellowship: deadlines are typically in early December.

Please reach out to Andrea directly with your CV and a brief statement about your research interests and names of potential references.
